Little boy, big walk

This morning the boys, under supervision of Mr C, went to the woods to do some lopping. They took turns and were out ages.

After lunch we all drove to Lordenshaws from where we climbed 750ft to the summit of Simonside. It it the ridge on the far right. This is James, aged 4, striding out - the boys actually ran most of it. After we descended the steep side, it was a long slog down the forestry road to the woods, where they climbed a tree or two on the way back to the car park. They walked about 5 miles.

I am tired but must get on. The boys had only been gone 10 mins when #3 daughter arrived with Ella and Nathaniel. He is tired after having his little friend for a sleepover and they had swimming today.
