Mooching around the woods, which are deciduous, I discovered this burgeoning conifer beginning to take hold between two trunks and a rock.
I liked the bright green colour and spikey nature of it against all the browns and oranges of the dried leaves and twigs.
I tried a lot of different angles to see which composition I liked best. In this one I think the stick makes it work because it's a contrasting diagonal line, although it compliments the direction of the baby conifer.
