Christmas Dinner

We had a full house round here yesterday. My parents came through from Dundee, along with L's two sisters, two of her nephews, her niece with her husband and their two little ones. Ten adults and two small children to squeeze round the table in our kitchen. More than seventy years between youngest and oldest. When my father was the same age as young J, the Allied forces were preparing for the battle of Monte Cassino in central Italy during WWII and when little H gets to be the same age as my mother, it will be 2083. We had a great time with plenty of good food (L did a brilliant job of it all, while I was hosting 'front of house'), some lovely presents and lots of laughter. And then after they had all gone home L and I had a very relaxing evening watching a couple of episodes from our new Northern Exposure box-set - our Christmas gift for each other - with a glass or two of wine and some cheese and biscuits.
A lovely day.

Back blipped, as yesterday wasn't a day for computers.
