Sunday 25 December 2011: Christmas Dinner
Up to Dundee for Christmas Dinner at my parents (hence the back blip). We drove up there in the morning after our traditional Christmas Day breakfast of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. This is me just about to tuck into the main course. After the meal we spent a quiet time in the lounge in front of the telly - a bit of Christmas Strictly and then Downton Abbey. It was the first time I had seen it. It seemed okay and, to be fair, maybe it was a less nuanced over-positive edition as it was Christmas Day but I was a little surprised how ordinary it seemed to be after all the hype. Perhaps I don't properly remember it, but I feel Upstairs Downstairs was much better.
