Boscastle

The Minx is fully recovered from Leeds and back on full organisational form. What a relief!

Today, we went and made a second attempt to go to the leisure centre in Bude and had a whale of a time, enjoying the flume and the wave machine. And after that, as per the Minx's suggestion, we went over to Boscastle.

I am developing a not particularly insightful theory that you can judge how much a town is affected by tourism by the size of its car parking footprint. Looe, where we went last year, seemed to have as much car parking as actual town. And this was the case with Boscastle, too; in fact you encounter the car park before the town.

But we found somewhere to eat, thankfully, as we were all hungry after swimming. (I used the app on my phone to take this picture of us all, less the Minx.) And after that, we had a walk through the town and down to the harbour, which was absolutely charming. I think we - the Minx and I - might come back here in the spring.
