Wild Otter

Such a joy and a privilege to watch this beautiful creature in his natural environment!

I had spent most of the day doing 'paperwork' on the computer but went out for a short walk by the river at the end of the day. Imagine what a joy it was to spot this otter in the river - a lovely reward for my day's work! It was after six and cloudy, so the light was poor, but I was just pleased to be able to watch. I tracked him up the river for a while - no easy task, as he only bobbed up occasionally for a second (or less) - until he finally disappeared. All my images are noisy but I'm thrilled that I got anything at all!
