Apples...
...Bramley apples to be precise.
This being the fifth Sunday in the month we went off to the Joint Service at the URC at Castle Camps. The theme of the service was 'Harvest' and feeding the world... So this photo seems to be quite relevant.
I took this with the 5 x 4 view camera, the apples were given to us by a neighbour and the basket was part of Margaret's hoard of stuff that might be useful sometime. The background is a bit of wallpaper filched from B & Q.
I took the photo looking down at about 25 degrees and used front standard tilt to keep the basket in sharp focus from top to bottom. With a 210mm lens this close to the subject even at f16 the DoF is very shallow so the 'movements' on the camera really help.
Wista 5 x 4, Ilford FP4 Plus 125, 210mm, f16 at 7 sec.
I ought to add that this shot took me nearly an hour to set up!
