No dog

thought we had found the dog for us - the right size, age, and temperament. He was a neighborhood stray who no one had claimed (no listing with the county, humane society, Craigslist, neighborhood email list or Facebook page, neighborhood signs, or microchip) .....until the very moment we brought him home with us. Just as we came out of the car from the vet's office where we claimed him, a couple pulled up in a truck and claimed him as their dog. A cell phone picture of him as a puppy proved their story and we handed over the dog. They did not speak fluent English and they said they didn't know how to go about finding their lost dog other than driving the neighborhood. They are nice people, and as much as we liked that dog, we certainly didn't want to steal anyone's dog. I do hope they keep his appointment for the neuter and microchip on Friday....

Now that we have all this dog stuff, it looks like it is time to officially look for a dog.
