Reunited

So, the record player has been installed and the LP trunk opened, allowing the tiny indentations of this particular vinyl disc to set in chain a sequence of vibrations via needle, amplifier, speakers, air and ear drums and bring home to me, deep into my very core, the pure tones of the late Kenneth McKellar's magnificent tenor voice as if he was standing right here in front of me, and my late father reclining in this his favourite chair behind, listening to this his favourite record.
