Botanic Robin

Hurrah - when we opened the shutters this morning we saw that the snow had settled!

I was keen, however, to rush out of the house as soon as possible to get some snaps before it melted. We grabbed the camera and blipped our way around the Royal Botanic Garden and Inverleith Park, then popped in and out of all the charity shops in Stockbridge on our way back home again.

This is my favourite shot from our expedition. I like the way that the robin is all puffed up against the cold, and the little pile on snow on the bare branch.
