Blooming

Thursday walk and you couldn't ask for better conditions. It was a walk near Pinos del Valle that we've been on before, and it was delightful both times. A steep climb at the beginning, a ridge walk with fantastic views (extra, note the terraces with flowering almonds), and then an easy descent back to the village followed by a reviving beer. 

I went with S and T, and when we got back to Almuñecar we joined S, fresh from the Spanish class I'd missed, for lunch at La Corregidora, excellent value as always. By the time that was done it was half past four and felt like a day very well spent. Tired enough to feel justified in lolling around watching a film this evening (Agnès Varda's The Gleaners has been selected by the committee of two).
