Tuesday 17 March 2009: Form an orderly queue...
This is the queue for the reading rooms at the British Library, running across the concourse this morning at about 9.30. It's taken from the top floor of the Novotel just along the Euston Road, shot thru a glass window so I've played with the contrast and color saturation slightly to try and compensate.
You can see St Pancras station in the background, with its pointed towers in marked contrast to the rather blocky architecture of the BL. Actually, I think the BL works much better architecturally on the inside than it does on the outside. That said, the brickwork colors are quite nice.
I'd quite like to work in a library.
PS I've also created a tilt-shift version of this image.
