Behind the scenes at the National Library of Scotl

This morning I was on a visit to the NLS with some colleagues from work. There was a very useful exchange of ideas and information at our meeting with NLS staff. Following this we were taken on a tour behind the scenes. I've been on a few tours of the Library, but this place always fascinates me. Just think of all those millions of books being stored according to size (to make the best use of space). There are 15 floors in this building on George IV Bridge and the ground floor is the eleventh. An amazing place.

Just back from a Carnethy Burns' Supper with my running club. Lots of great performances from the Address to the Haggis to Tam o' Shanter. A very enjoyable evening.
