Monday 16 March 2009: Squirrelfish

Our second day diving in Key West. We were quite annoyed because we got up early to go dive a particular site. There was some question as to whether the trip would happen so the dive center promised to leave a message at our hotel. We received no message though, and they didn't seem to care that we'd got up early specially only for them to cancel the trip. We considered not going out with them in the afternoon instead (the best they could offer), but it would complicate things too much so we went out anyway.

In the end we had a couple of good dives, and the sites were probably a little better than the previous day. There were lots of these squirrelfish (this is a big one, maybe 10 inches long) lurking ready to bolt into their holes at the first sign of trouble, and this one posed obliingly for my camera...
