Well Travelled

Diplacus (aka Mimulus) aurantiacus grandiflorus, a Californian native plant, raised from wild collected seed sown in Norfolk in January 2019.  In nature it can grow to three or four feet but my plant is much smaller so far.   Unlike the most well known Mimulus species which prefer damp conditions, this is a dryland plant which I hope will do well in my new, dry coastal garden in Wales.  Seed and plant both well travelled!

A setback.  The bath was delivered minus the leg set required to install it.  Enquiry to the seller has yet to yield a solution.  The bath is now out of stock which does not bode well for a quick resolution.  We didn't let this stop us having a fun and productive day.  The weather, much hotter, made outdoor jobs less pleasant for a while but in the cool of the evening we enjoyed an hour after sunset along the sea shore.
