The Sun-Pat enigma

I've known about this phenomenon for most of my life... and yet I've never mentioned it before. Has anyone noticed, when you've eaten some peanut butter and you sneeze or blow your nose (I currently am suffering, stoically, with a cold), you get a completely different taste sensation for a second or two? I say I've never mentioned it - I may have asked my mum about this weirdness in 1968 but she obviously couldn't shed any light on it - because I'm none-the-wiser now.

I think I may worryingly have just split an infinitive back there. Never mind.
