Searching for his momma

On our morning walk in Chagrin River Park, I spotted this small fawn peering out from behind a log. It looks to me as though he is searching the area for his mother. It is not unusual for a doe to leave a young one in a hidden spot while she goes  out foraging, and usually the baby stays put, waiting for her to return. I was lucky to spot this little fellow because he was well hidden on the edge of the river behind some fallen trees. Today's extra picture shows the first glimpse I caught of him. I only noticed him because of his spots.
