The second half of life..

Winter solstice

A day to celebrate.  It's the shortest day, with least sun and the longest night, with the most darkness.  Doesn't sound like a recipe for happiness for this lover of warmth and light, but it does mean that tomorrow there'll be just an incy, wincy bit more warmth in the sunshine and a teeny, weeny few more daylight seconds, and that is what's worth celebrating.  Yup - 21st June is, in my mind, the year's hump day.  Time to ring out Soltice Bells.

In COVID news today there have been two new cases: both are recently returned residents, and both have been identified within the managed isolation facilities they are currently in.  This is the way the managed isolation plan is supposed to work :)  I know we should continue to expect new cases, but it still feels unnerving to see our active cases growing again.  Up to 7 now, after our incredible run of 24 COVID-free days.
