Arctic Skua

A wander around Mill Sand and the Loch of Tankerness this afternoon. This skua appeared suddenly and swooped quite near- hard to catch. Not much detail in the shot but I love their shape. This is a 'dark morph' bird- they come in dark, light and intermediate. Lockdown means I haven't seen many this summer- just 6 but they all have been dark morph bar one.
