Like films

I remember when I was a lad talking about a war film I’d seen - and it turned out I was thinking about a war comic I’d read.
They wouldn’t allow this sort of thing nowadays - violent action and people calling each other Fritz and Pig dog.
I don’t know how I came through my childhood unscathed by such material.
