Asian Honey Bee

Two early morning visitors today so we could sit in the garden while it was still relatively cool. After they left we had brunch, which is something we have not had for a while.

The afternoon will be taken up with a Mensa Zoom meeting as the Cambridge venue that is used is still not available.

Earlier this week our wheelie bin was not emptied, Yesterday I contacted Uttlesford and they have said they are not returning to collect missed bins so it has to stay full for another two weeks. The road adjoining our lane is closed as they are inspecting the bridge over the River Cam. Lots of other traffic, big lorries and lots of cars keep driving down our lane as they think they can get out the other end; no, not possible it is a dead end.  I have replied to them asking why they did not empty the bins in our lane when they emptied those in the road that joins our lane. I posted the information on our local FaceBook news line, but they removed it as inappropriate!

If they do not collect my non-recyclable waste this coming Wednesday I shall be writing to people far higher up than the admins on our news line.

Today’s picture is of an Asian Honey Bee; maybe it is from the hive we have in the garden.
