Mono Monday: Key or Quay

This enormous building is called Riverside Quay. It is a privately owned and run student residence. It's difficult to overstate how out of keeping it is with almost all the other buildings in Stirling. Apart from the castle it must be the largest and tallest structure. To be fair to the local authority its planners originally refused permission for it to be so huge. But the developer appealed to the Scottish Government which overturned the refusal. So much for local democracy. The students themselves are fine though most of them vacated their digs here in March. It's hard to know how many will be back next month. Anyway with thanks to Chantler63 for hosting here's my 'quay' for today's Mono Monday.

It was quite bright and sunny this morning but as soon as we got to Glasgow to help look after our grandson the rain started and it hasn't really let up. We went to Bellahouston Park and sat outside the House for an Art Lover for coffee. The staff were sceptical but they put up a brolly for us as we couldn't take the dog in. It was fine but pretty damp. Nice to see the cafe open again.

The coming days constitute what is, these days, a Busy Week. I have a lot of things on so I'm going to be a bit pushed for time. There's going to be a lot of zoom and other such platforms which is really efficient but too much screen time isn't great. The weather looks as if it's going to be quite unsettled too so who knows when those practice steps for the Kiltwalk are going to happen.
