It's happening

Earlier in the year my next door neighbour gave me five tomato seedlings which she'd grown in her greenhouse. One of the five succumbed but the remaining four have done pretty well. The variety is Alicante and it's a reliable one. It's supposed to be an early cropper but mine have taken their time. However, as you see, the fruit is starting to ripen now. Looking forward to lots of tomato salad and home made ragù in the days to come.

Flora is getting a new bed this morning. A neighbour offered a nice wicker dog basket for a donation to the community defibrillator fund and is kindly delivering it. Just hope she doesn't chew it to bits.

The day is muggy and close. The rain has stopped but everything is a bit drippy. I've got a lot of screen time ahead so I'm blipping now and will be out to pick tomatoes before I settle down at the desk.

What a shambles in WM re A Level and GCSE results. And the BTec fiasco too. Needless to say the people most in need of clarity about future education are being offered less. You'd think they might have learned something from the situation here a couple of weeks ago. But that would take an openness to learning I suppose.
