How many letters in SNOW?

The answer is 1,600. ( Please zoom large)

This permanent installation in Grand Rapids, MI, by Spaniard, Jaume Plensa " I, you, she or he..." suggests a community or "family" comprised three individual figures.

Each is formed by an open mesh of metallic uppercase sans serif letters that are tack-welded together. The figures are seated on flat limestone boulders and seem to balance on the snow.

Technically, there's a smoothness and polish to the edge of the metal letters.

If you use chicken and egg thinking ...the letter, not the word, is the original material of poetry.
