Menkemaborg

In the province of Groningen a mansion is called "borg". This particular one has been built upon remains of a castle from the 14th century, but the mansion itself has been built in 1705 and hasn't changed much since. The nobility that owned it used it just for holiday home. They would come over for a holiday and at the same time collect the dues from their farmers and tenants.
