Brambling Again

The predicted snow arrived overnight and continued for much of the day but amounted to very little. The birds seemed to think there was worse to come as they came feed - at one time there were nine wood pigeons, which we do not encourage.

I spent much of the morning watching this Brambling and a couple of Chaffinches taking cover in the Contorted Hazel. The camera has difficulty focusing only on the bird and not the twisty twigs of the shrub but I was delighted to have such a close view through the newly cleaned window.
