Silly Saturday: The Perils of Homophones!

"Mad dogs and blippers go out in the morning rain" (Silly, aren't we?)

Today is the first Saturday of the month, and therefore a day for some blip fun in memory of blipper admirer, who started and hosted Silly Saturday so well, and who used to say that she "looked forward to find all the silly, comical and funny images in the gallery(ies)".

A few days ago I spotted this sign on a local independent garage and decided that it would be a suitable subject for today's blip: it did me good,  as getting my shot required a walk in the rain and if it hadn't been for it I'd have probably decided to stay indoors! I'm intrigued to know which component of a car is a "break pad" - perhaps something to sit on whilst taking a break from driving? ;-))

The signwriter had clearly put a lot of effort into making the sign, with good quality pictures of an engine, a gearbox and an exhaust pipe, so what a shame that they made a silly spelling mistake.

If you can, please  blip something silly today and tag it SilSOct2020. Laurie54 had kindly volunteered to host SilS this month but unfortuantely she's been ill (do drop by her blip journal and wish her a speedy recovery) so I'm hosting today.
