A present

This morning someone in a senior post in education whose son attends my old school , the Marr College in Troon, sent me a lovely present - a pen in a hand made wooden box.

The wood comes from old oak desks which were about to be thrown out by the school - desks of a vintage that means I probably sat at them.

One of the technical teachers saved the desks and from them an enterprise project was born : pen boxed sets made by pupils which are a great memento of the College and from which funds will flow back into the College.

They were quickly sold out but one was bought for me and here it is.

Many thanks therefore to Steve and Declan ( and to Declan for leaving his name in it too !) It is wonderful to have it.
