Day's beginning

Today our visitors went across the Outeniqua mountains to Oudtshoorn where an annual arts festival is being held. It started yesterday, lasts for a week, and is filled with diverse forms of art.

Apart from the usual flea market stuff - it has many other attractions like art exhibitions, live shows, music and entertainment by the country's top artists, and many other categories.

It is known as the Klein Karoo Kunste Fees, (Small Karoo Arts Festival) is held every year during this time, and is visited by thousands of people from all over South Africa.

The town of Oudtshoorn's economy is favorably boosted by all the spending going on.

Places that offer accommodation are fully booked and it is a week filled with excitement, fun and lots of things going on.

As for today's image - once again at the George Dam - sunrise, and a beautiful morning!
