Godless waste ?

I'm skirting round the Manchester ring road first thing this morning on the way to a shoot near Bolton. I pulled off the Motorway to take a closer look at The Trafford Centre, which from the outside looks like a cathedral to post-modern taste.

Then coming down the slip road opposite I spotted this church starkly outlined against the sky and in acres of barren scrubland. An odd juxtaposition I though, but one worth commenting on.
