Northern Exposure

Wednesday 25 April 2007: Survival of the fittest.

I've never had any great success with cuttings. Basically because I tend to forget all about them. Steven says we practise Darwinist gardening, if it needs to be cosseted and lavished with TLC there's no point in us taking it home.

But our Cape daisies did so well last year that I decided to attempt some cuttings last Autumn. They survived virtual neglect over winter in the porch and I planted them out in pots last weekend. So far they look great and I've got my fingers crossed that they will prove Darwin right.
