Cabin fever

It got the better of us. We needed to get out of North Edinburgh. I've been to the centre of the city a few times, but Mr A hadn't been out of North Edinburgh, or more than a mile or two from home, since the end of October....

We were both awake very early, so we made a beeline for the Harlaw reservoir carpark, which was mercifully quiet, and walked the extended Harlaw potter as the sun came up. The light was great. The walking was smooth (with bits of ice and mud thrown in). I've added a couple of extras. Harlaw reservoir is very full, and it is clear where the large quantities of water that are coming down the Water of Leith are coming from, even if there are flood controls further up the waterways that prevent calamities in the city. All of the overflows had lots of water running in them.

The other high point of the day was monkfish with roasted cauliflower on a bed of lightly curried puy lentils. My best creation in a *long* time. We then watched Legend, about the Kray twins. Less my sort of film than Mr A's. Well, you have to have a bit of give and take in lockdown.
