Seeing Beyond Looking

Blue skies down by the lake

It happened! The wind dropped, the temperatures rose to zero degrees and the blue sky was gorgeous! You can see part of the mountains on the Swiss side of the lake, to the right of the tall poplar trees you can see some vineyards.

I met Jean, who came over on the boat, down at Ouchy. We bought a takeaway coffee and I had taken dessert (the Brownies from yesterday) and we sat on a bench overlooking the view above!

The only problem was that half of Lausanne had been tempted to go down by the lake too! We decided that next time we wouldn't choose a Sunday, but take breakfast with us and buy a coffee down there!

I can't believe it! Two days in a row with seeing real-live people!
I gave Jean some homemade goodies, including bread and Swiss chocolate!

The sky is still a marvellous blue and our short cold snap has come to an end and the temperatures will be rising next week again.
