Aphids

I went down to one of our primary classrooms today hoping to see monarch caterpillars or butterflies. They appear to have all flown to freedom and all they'd left behind was some moving orange dots.

On closer inspection the movement turned out to be aphids. What prehistoric looking lifeforms they are.
