Figgate

After happy online meetings with PhD students M and J, I had to fix a puncture before driving into Edinburgh. This loss of time meant that I was unable to Turf before meeting PhD student И so, after we'd caught up with work issues, she joined me for a 90-minute trip on bikes from Duddingston to Musselburgh and back. This took us through Figgate Park, where I was surprised that these swans had nested so close to the path. It was fun, and И discovered a cycle path that she didn't know. Afterwards, I rounded off my Friday trip in the usual way, by shopping and visiting Mum.
