canoeing in the Okefenokee Swamp

(day 2 camping trip) took lots of photos today, really a beautiful place
-even though the swamp looks still, there is a current that runs through it into the river.. the state park rents canoes and small boats with 10hp. motors (largest allowed...we brought our own canoe, which has small outriggers and an electric trolling motor- but we paddle as much as possible)
everyone heads up against the current leaving the state park, then with the current coming back, which is good when you're tired. But weaving through some of the cypress trees in a few tight spots going with the current was a little tricky- a fun challenge- through the woods we could hear inexperienced renters whooping and slamming into the tree trunks

it turned out we weren't allowed to bring the dogs on the boat here, and there were rules as far as how far you could go, and to be off the water by 6:00 PM, etc.
-I'm sure they've figured out what some people will do, and have reasons
