snail eggs

(camping trip day 3) we decided to leave Ga. early- we're off work till Wed.- and head south to Ocala National Forest again. we can check out more camping spots, have a shorter drive home later, and upcoming weather looks better there.. We liked the swamp, but had seen it well enough.
ended up at the Lake Eaton camping area- beautiful, and got the best site in the place, coming in on a Sun.

while out on the canoe (with the dogs!), saw these snail eggs- I think Apple snail, which are the staple diet of the Everglades Kite (bird in hawk family). the Kites are seen further south in the Everglades, but don't know it they're this far north.
