Life is a Challenge!

Joshua's Party

Went to our grandson, Joshua's party today - it was his birthday yesterday, but he was so busy that the party had to be postponed until today. We had pizzas and cake - and there was plenty of both.

What his parents didn't bank on was a major water leak in the night which meant that water was cascading down the walls and through the ceiling, but the party still went ahead.

The pizzas were great and the cake was amazing - made, I believe, by a fellow blipper, Tina - but no doubt she will confirm this.

I think it is fair to say that by the end of the evening, we were all pizza-ed and caked out - but a good time was had by all. I enjoyed playing a game of Up-Words with my two grandchildren and their cousin and no doubt we will enjoy the rest of the cake and play more games on Saturday evening when we look after them.

I am still amazed about yesterday, our wedding anniversary, when a man in the restaurant where we had lunch, as an act of kindness, paid for our meal and drinks - so today, I paid it forward and in doing so, had a lovely conversation on the bus with a Filipino lady, who said that she was pleased I had spoken to her, as not many people did.

If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously.......And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly. Don't just pretend to love others. Really love them.
