The Lone Pine

Maisie and I were out walking early. This lone pine intrigues me as it has no branches down one side. It is quite a landmark. We are taking a different route these days because a large area along the true left bank of the Taylor River, including the pony club grounds and various stop banks, is being baited with carrots for the current plague of rabbits. The idea is to hook them on tasty fresh carrots. Once that happens the carrots will replaced with carrots baited with the calicivirus. Then hopefully… we will have no more rabbits.
