Nature of Verdure

In terms of the foliage this must be my least favourite time of the year. The rest of the family are bemused by my dislike of green grass on the hillsides and this early summer foliage. I prefer the bold outlines of leafless trees and the yellow brown hues of the winter hillside grass.

Perhaps it is also because dense foliage plays havoc with survey measurements in woodland sites. On any client enquiry the first thing I ask is what the site is like for scrub.
