Hamburger Bahnhof, Treptower Park, Bethanien Kunstlerhaus, Kunstraum

This little boy was excitedly checking out one of the Martin Honert sculptures at the Hamburger Bahnhof. A lot of his work recalls and responds to childhood memories, often playing with scale and colour - obviously appealing to this wee fella.

Also showing was a fantastic retrospective of one of my favourite artists Martin Kippenberger - which made the trip for me. Can't say much about it other than it was fantastic, magic and brilliant.

And in funny twist... whilst I was looking at Martin Honert's work, I realised that the artist had actually arrived for some kind of press call. I let the students know that he was there and one of them very excitedly approached him and asked if he "...was Martin Kippenberger?" to which he replied "no, he's dead. I am the other Martin" to which she excitedly told him that he was also brilliant and that he shouldn't be shy...

Now, this student obviously made Mr Honert feel very happy because he gave her a signed and personal inscription in a catalogue for the show and promised to send through press photos of them together with his work. She was absolutely made up.
