A busy day thanks largely to intensive Olympic viewing!

Went along to a NZIPP live judging event being held as part of the NZIPP Iris awards & annual convention this week in Nelson.  Fascinating!  Mostly as to be expected but some real eye-openers as far as interpretation of artistry goes.  

Home then to watch the Olympics - hockey girls would be very disappointed with their loss to Spain although the Spanish girls did play a suffocating defensive game, never giving our girls much breathing space at all.  This evening were the rugby sevens playoffs and despite positive feelings before the game, the Fijians played an excellent game with fewer errors - Fiji Gold, New Zealand silver.  Disappointing for our boys but those Fijians sure do deserve their gold :D
