Day 3 More Alchemy

More alchemy today with a distinct Japanese flavour. It's day 3 and the dyes used today are madder and acorn.
Today we revealed the results of our eco dying from yesterday using the onion skins and oak leaves and the tin can.
Some very beautiful and subtle results.
It was also a day of boro and sashiko which means harmonious imperfection.
We were all gifted with specialist sashiko needles as well as a madder plant - its roots are used in the dying process giving a beautiful pink dye.
