Iceberg Rose

We canned eight quarts of tomatoes this morning. Mr S does all the prep and washing parts and I skin 'em, boil 'em and put them in jars with some white vinegar. After all these years, I still love seeing those beautiful glowing containers lined up on the counter. And come winter and I reach for some tomatoes I'll be reminded of what a good idea this is!

The rose has nothing at all to do with this process.
