The second half of life..

Lunch time!

Chiropractor appointment then out to the Boulder Bank with D with the goal of finding and shooting Fern birds.  Once again, they were heard but not seen.  Still, we did manage to identify an alternative [easier!] access to the area where the Fern birds apparently live so next time will be less walking and clambering and more looking, listening and hopefully shooting.
On the return drive we noticed a gathering of Tern's just a wee bit further  along the Boulder Bank so of course we had to take a walk to see.......  Definitely better photo opportunities than earlier....the birds seemed more interested in their fishy lunches than in us!

Managed a little gardening after I got home though I am seeing a truck load more work ahead.  Still, it's good to be able to do something without my back giving me too much grief.

In COVID news a somewhat alarming 71 new cases - things are beginning to spiral which is very unnerving.  All of today's cases are in Auckland which raises questions in about how on earth we can open up Auckland without exposing the rest of the country to infection.  Auckland can't remain separated from the rest of the country indefinitely, but the rest of the country remains virtually COVID free......so what to do?  Open Auckland and infect the country v keep Auckland closed down and keep the rest of the country safe.  Neither solution sounds good.  A feel a headache coming on.
