Last Job

Our last day with The Grandchildren but before we left we had an important job to do: carving the pumpkins! I did a god job of it this time last year so pumpkins were bought in time for me to do the same again.

I'd forgotten how easy pumpkins are to carve compared to the turnip swede lanterns I had to make for our own children. This one was a small one designed to be carried around so I didn't have quite the scope for design. Never mind, Emily was pleased.

In the meantime, on the other side of the breakfast bar, Daniel was making his favourite biscuits so we could take some with us. Delicious!
