Beautiful Batsford House

Still very cold in the Cotswolds but - hurray - the sun came out and we took a lovely circular walk from Blockley to Batsford Arboretum and back. Thankfully our colds are much better today. We only walked six miles or so but I'm now pleasantly shattered and ready for another meal out :)

This is Batsford House, once home to the Mitford sisters, taken from the arboretum. The arboretum is beautiful too but seems to be at least a month behind with the dominant flowers still being snowdrops and crocuses. Will spring ever come?

On the walk back we traversed several crisp, snow laden fields. Quite bizarre for the end of March.
