A Gaggle of Grackles

And a trip to the Zoo!

The National Zoo is a wonderful place. It's perhaps the nicest zoo I've ever been too- or at least the one I've felt most happy in. Most of the time I just feel really bad for the animals, but this one seemed to be clean and have lots of space and... trees.. you know, natural things? Grackles followed us around the place so I got some nice photos of them. We also saw gazelles, the cheetah, fishing cats, the... shadow leopard? I cannot remember now... the pandas (scent-marking.. was debating that photo), a red panda, a wallaby, elephants, and... squirrels. So, all in all, TWO animals, according to our two-and-a-half year old guide. She's a witty sponge.
