Sally Mair - Loving life

Pickled!

EB tonight as today didn't quite work out as planned. We were woken this morning to an alarm call from Banchory that the power had gone off again so Colin headed up north just after lunch to pick up his mum. He and his sister met at a cafe half way so neither had to do the full journey.

My original plan had been to go to the quiet Wednesday morning service and then we were going to go for a leisurely trip to Fife picking up an order on the way. Instead of which we had to hurriedly put everything back under the eaves that we had taken out yesterday and then move a bed back downstairs to make a bedroom for mum. Next we sorted the front bedroom as Ali and Josie are coming to stay for the weekend. All a bit more frantic than we had originally intended, but never mind all worked out in the end. I managed my trip to Fife too. I suddenly remembered at 4pm that I hadn't eaten anything today so grabbed a pot of tea and a scone at the garden centre at Kinross.
There was a stunning sunset tonight as I was driving down the motorway, dazzlingly beautiful but of course I couldn't stop.
Ali came over this evening to introduce Josie to her great grandmother so that was a lovely time, she been looking forward to it. All in all, a busy day but lots of smiles from Josie to finish it off.

We've all gone to bed early, including Pickle. This throw was in the attic in the eaves so I had got it out to see if Ali wanted it. No chance, Pickle always had a good eye for the warm and comfortable and settled onto it very quickly.
