Sunny Hours

I've come to appreciate the importance of making the most of the 'sunny hours' recently so it was smashing to spend a few hours in the company of friend Helen.

We walked from her house up in to the village of Haworth where we enjoyed cuppas and shared cake at Cobbles and Clay.  It's a great café with good food and doubles up as a pottery painting venue.  Unsurprisingly, the quote on the wall is made of ceramic letters and is from local author Currer Bell, alias Charlotte Bronte.

Cake munched, coffee consumed we returned to Helen's by a different route for home made soup and cheesy toast and more conversation before it was time for Helen to rehearse for her concert tonight, and time for me to head home.  Mmm the smell of mince pies greeted me as I came in through the kitchen door, well done Tony!
